MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT
The mission of the Chemical Engineering Department is to educate
students to acquire up-to-date knowledge and skills, in order to fulfill
the needs and expectations of industry and society and to play a leadership
role in their advancement. The Chemical Engineering Department develops
educational programs in accordance with the contemporary requirements,
advances chemical technology through research and contributes to the
application of knowledge and technology for the benefit of society.
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
1. To meet the challenges of the modern engineering practice, educate
a new generation of creative, proactive Chemical Engineers capable of
working effectively within teams.
2. Educate students with a strong background of fundamental Chemical
Engineering principles and with an ability to apply the basic concepts
to the analysis, design, operation and control of systems, units, processes
that meet performance, cost, safety, and quality requirements.
3. Educate students to be life long learners with high research motivation,
having the skills to benefit from contemporary information resources.
4. Broaden perspectives of the students with respect to the environment,
social issues, ethics, responsibilities and professionalism.
GRADUATE PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
1. To educate graduate students to acquire advanced knowledge, analyzing
skills and creative, independent research abilities.
2. To contribute to the advancement of science and technology for the
benefit of society through original research.
3. Broaden perspectives of the students with respect to the environment,
ethics, responsibilities and professionalism.
